As a Rule, School is Cool
As you may (or may not) have noticed, it has been a while since my last blog. Following my few days at home after RYM Texas, I flew back to Grove City College to start RA (Resident Assistant) training, which was a very full schedule. My current plan is to continue to blog once a month rather than weekly during this semester.
I almost forgot to pick this photo as the photo of the month because it seems so long ago that this happened. Soren and Annie got engaged in an art museum, and I got to sneak around and take photos of them. I am so happy for them. I can't wait to have Annie in the family!
Life at college is so sweet because of the number of people at Grove City College who love Jesus and, as a result, make such good friends. I am glad to be back around friends ( peers and profs).
My first day back was a Sunday. I had barely slept in the past 24 hours, but I was able to borrow Nate's (my new RD) car to go to church. Even though I was struggling to stay awake, it was so sweet to worship and commune in a familiar place after traveling so much over the summer and missing a true church service the past two Sundays while I was at RYM. God gives us rest. God is big even in the small.
I am excited for all of my classes. They are so great. I cannot wait to reinforce my knowledge of Christian Doctrine, learn to study the Bible better through the Hebrew Language, practice Communicating the most important truth, The Gospel, study Wisdom found in the Books Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs, use wisdom to think about Courtship and Marriage, and examine the Art of the Civilizations past to gain a further appreciation for God's creative design and a greater aptitude to notice His beauty around me.
Just a revelation communicates to man the truth concerning God and his will, so beauty is the form of that communication.

(Aug. 8) Happy Birthday, Nonnie! I love you, and I am thankful for all the ways that you care for me.
I just wrapped up my first week of school. About 14 more to go! Hopefully in the next month, I will be able to get my New Life team into George Junior to serve and minister to the boys there.
